Specific agreements with publishers have made it possible to extend access to electronic resources to non-institutional users who have had a relationship with the University, such as alumni (former students) and retired staff. A wide selection of Open-Access resources also remains available for everyone:

To use the extension to restricted resources, it is necessary to log in with institutional credentials* to the EZproxy service and access the resources according to the Terms and Conditions of the University of Bologna's Proxy service and the Guidelines for access and use of electronic resources.

Note: Those who have obtained a Ph.D. degree should use the credentials with the @studio.unibo.it extension received at the beginning of their career.

The service for extending remote access to the AlmaRE Collections (electronic journals, e-books and databases subscribed by the University of Bologna) to authorized non-institutional users aims to enhance the University investments in resources acquired for research, study, teaching and Third Mission, since it ensures that users can keep up to date on the subjects they are studying or researching.

The service was implemented with the collaboration of CeSIA - IT Systems and Services Division.
